TEHRAN – The Assembly of Experts presiding board is going to hold a meeting in the near future over appointing a replacement for the late Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.

The announcement was made on Saturday by Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami, a member of the assembly’s presiding board.

Khatami told Fars he will attend a news conference in a few days in order to announce further details of the meeting.
